ZLIN 50 L/M
Stuart Mackay Models are pleased to bring you a 1/4 scale version of the famous aerobatic machine from the Zlin factory in the Czech Republic. It is available in two versions, either the export version with the Lycoming or the inline engined version with the Walter engine. Both versions enable a Moki 30 or 45 to be fully enclosed. The aerospace quality epoxy glass mouldings of the fuselage, wings and tail surfaces have all the rivets and panels finely reproduced on the perfect silver gel-coat surface. The main under-carriage is moulded in carbon and the tail wheel bracket and wheel spats are moulded in epoxy glass. To aid transport, the horizontal tail surfaces, plug into alloy tubes and incidence dowels to ensure perfect alignment and a convenient shape for transport.
Construction consists of fitting ply reinforcement for engine and under-carriage mounting, hinging control surfaces, fitting your choice of radio, engine and painting.
We recommend petrol engines from 30 to 60cc, the aircraft has been designed around the Mackay 30 and 45cc. The rear induction/rear exhaust suit the long nose M version and the front induction/side exhaust or boxer twins for the Lycoming version. When fitted with these engines, the Zlin has an excellent vertical performance, without any sacrifice of it's excellent low-speed handling.
