Douglas DC-3/ C-47 Dakota

Stuart Mackay Models are pleased to bring you a practical scale model of one of air transport' true legends, the "Dak", still flying today in the UK after more than 60 years regular military and airline service behind it, is a tribute to this classic design. The original's advanced wing plan-form and the timeless lines, lend themselves to our proven all-moulded epoxy glass construction of all components, enabling incredible lightness and strength, together with a surface finish and detail accuracy with all control surfaces already hinged for you. The Dakota is available ready painted and finished in a range of civil and military schemes. Work is limited to installation of your electrics and R/C. Whilst two Speed 600 motors are recommended for power, equipped with 8-10 cells, take-offs from smooth grass are fuss-free. The Dak may also be flown as a PSS soarer.
